We can perform organ transplantation only from a livingdonor for international patients. (Regulated andcontrolled by the Ministry of Health/Turkish Republic)
In Turkey, transplantation of a kidney/Liver to foreignpatients is done exclusively from a living relative donor(up to the 4th degree of relationship). A close familyfriend can also become done. Patient and donor mustprovide official documents confirming the relationship. Insome cases, permission may be granted to use an organ from a spouse, other relatives or close friend of the family. This decision is made by the ethicscommittee before.
1.degree: Mother – Father – Child
2.degree: Brother or sister – grand father – grandmother– grandson or granddaughter
3.degree: Uncle – Aunt – Nephew or Niece
4.degree: Children of the 3rd degrees.
The documents are:
Birth Certificate for patient and donor (with Apostilleauthorization)
Official family records of both (with Apostilleauthorization)
Passport copies
The above-mentioned documents will be Apostilled in your owner’s country and will be translated to Turkish.
